This guy's a genius!
"Massachusetts police say a man who brought officers coffee as an apology for his violent behavior during an arrest 12 years ago, created a similar ruckus the very next day."

Senate backs apology for slavery among African Americans - http://bit.ly/3eK2mO
Slavery is a very sore subject for millions of people. What will an apology do? Will it ease the minds of those jaded by such a terrible act? Is there ANY possible way of moving forward?
What are your thoughts?

Here's an interesting take (playing devil's advocate) on the consequences of apologies. Apologies can either mend fences or break them down.

Have you ever apologized and made the situation worse?

What does everyone think? Did Davis get too caught up in the moment? Will the kid get an apology?

manny, sorry, baseball, steroids, estrogen, testosterone
We all know he took female fertility drugs, which is common for steroid users to decrease their prominent testosterone level after usage.
He said he was sorry, here's Rich Rupprecht's take on Manny's "apology."

government, apologize, air force one, 9/11, new york city
Probably the dumbest thing ever! What were they thinking? A low flying plane over NYC just for a photo opp? People run terrified with 9/11 flashbacks. How come no one thought this may be a bad idea beforehand?

play nice, im sorry, apologies, miss california, chris angel, perez hilton
Apparently during a performance of Chris Angel's magic act Chris spotted Perez Hilton (the gossip celebrity blogger) - stopped his show and verbally assaulted him. Angel's staff have submitted an apology but I am not sure if it is really heart felt by the man who acted so childishly. You can read more of the article here:
http://www.cinemablend.com/celebrity/Apology-Issued-Over-Angel-Hilton-Spat-17029.html
In a complete 180. Perez Hilton apologized and then RETRACTED his apology to Miss California about his rant about her views on gay marriage. There are links to Perez's fly off the handle comments you can look on your own they are really mean so I don't want to put the link up here.
Can't we all just get along? And Mr. Hilton.... that is a lot of controversy for one week. Think of all the good you could have spread in the time and media outlets instead of all this garbage. Be nice to one another!

celebrity apologies, jamie foxx, miley sirus
No one seems to know as much about apologizing as celebrities and politicians these days. Here is another example where actor Jamie Foxx made some off color comments about Miley Sirus on his radio show and has spent the last week apologizing for it.
Jamie Foxx apologizes for his comments about Miley Sirus "I so apologize ... and this is sincere. I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far." Foxx went on to say "Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand."

Everyone seems so wound up these days. Everyone is so angry. Apologies are such a good way to show someone that you really DO care and do feel bad about a given situation. Michael Phelps was brave enough to say he was sorry for what he had done: http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/swimming/news/story?id=3876804
Don't you think it is time to start recognizing our faults and start taking responsibilities for our actions?
