The Jonas Brothers apologize to all the wedding parties at all the hotels they’ve stayed at that have been ruined by frenzied fans.
“We’ve had a couple instances where there’s been weddings going on during the time we were at the hotel,” Kevin said on “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” on Thursday night. “We’ve had brides like, ‘You’ve ruined my wedding.’ ”
“There’s 100 to 1200 fans who show up, and the bride, her wedding’s just ruined,” Nick added. “Just screaming fans the whole time. … And we’ve actually sent apology gifts to the bride and the groom.”

McMackin on Thursday used a gay slur three times during the WAC football media preview in Salt Lake City, initially directing the word at a cheer performed by Notre Dame players and coaches at last year’s Hawaii Bowl.
McMackin issued three apologies Thursday — first asking the media to overlook his comments. He continued to apologize on radio shows on Friday and met with Hawaii officials to discuss his punishment.
“I just made a big mistake,” he said. “I apologize to everyone and anyone I offended. I’m committed to do whatever I can do as a life lesson to learn from my mistake.”
McMackin called Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis to apologize to the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame beat Hawaii 49-21 in the Hawaii Bowl. McMackin described Notre Dame’s team cheer at a bowl banquet as “this little faggot dance.”

Omar Minaya has spoken publicly Yesterday and said he had apologized to reporter, Adam Rubin of The Daily News.
“You make a mistake and I admit to making a mistake and bringing up the things that I did,” Minaya said Thursday. “I should have talked to Adam separately. I did not do that. I take full responsibility for that.”
“I was wrong in saying those things, and I want Adam to see it from me. We had a good conversation, and I look forward to moving on. I look forward to talking about baseball.”
“Me and Adam had a conversation. We had a conversation that stays between us. And, you know, I’m very comfortable that in the conversation and my apology to Adam, and as I said before, those are comments that I should not make, and I made those comments.”
Rubin said he accepted Minaya’s apology on the web.

Former University of Hawaii and Olympic volleyball star Kim Willoughby was sentenced Monday to five years probation for punching a woman outside the Pipeline Cafe in December 2006.
She entered a no contest plea in exchange for probation.
Sara Daniel, the woman Willoughby assaulted, addressed Willoughby in open court.
"Kim, I can not put into words the pain I endured physically and mentally after having major reconstructive surgery," "I waited two and a half years to stand in front of you face to face to have my closure. You have shown to many that you have a talent that went way too far. You are abusing your fists as a weapon to physically hurt people,"
Willoughby apologized to Daniel and all the volleyball fans who have supported her during her playing days at U.H. and with the U.S. national team.
"I do regret everything that happened to you. And from the very beginning I've always said that whatever happened to you I was going to take full responsibility and I really do apologize to you for that night,"

california, chinese-americans, gold rush, transcontinental railroad
On July 17, the California legislature quietly approved a landmark bill to apologize to the state's Chinese-American community for racist laws enacted as far back as the mid–19th century Gold Rush, which attracted about 25,000 Chinese from 1849 to 1852. The laws, some of which were not repealed until the 1940s, barred Chinese from owning land or property, marrying whites, working in the public sector and testifying against whites in court. The new bill also recognizes the contributions Chinese immigrants have made to the state, particularly their work on the Transcontinental Railroad.

Senator John McCain and the Republican Party are apologizing to Jackson Browne for using "Running on Empty" during last year’s presidential campaign.
The GOP is also vows to get artists’ permission before using work for future political campaigns.
The apology was released Tuesday as well as a settlement with Browne over a federal copyright infringement lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. Browne sued McCain and the national and Ohio Republican parties last year for using his song “Running on Empty” to mock Democrat Barack Obama.
Apparently John McCain was not aware of the Advertisement.
